Hybrid Tea

Cherry pink

‘Fiji’ is at the front of the line of new disease-resistant Hybrid Teas, and like its island namesake, this rose will captivate you much like a perfect holiday with tropical islands and sandy beaches. The brilliant cherry pink color of this rose certainly makes me think of a fruity delicious drink. The scalloped edges on its petals add unexpected welcome and texture, and although ‘Fiji’ is classed as a Hybrid Tea, these unusually shaped flowers appear in small clusters that give the whole effect a much greater presence in the garden. This rose has been featured in numerous international rose competitions where it received silver medals in Mona and Kortrijk (2012), and further awards at the Bagatelle, Le Roeulx, and Lyon rose trials.

Introduced in 2012 by Kordes (KORladcher); also listed as ‘Cherry Lady’.

Companions | Plant this variety close to the front of the border where you can enjoy the charm of the blooms and some added fragrance. Complement the tropical colors with other blends, like ‘Caramella’, ‘Easter Basket’, ‘Easy Does It’, and ‘Postillion’. Any white will do as well.
